WELCOME.

A note from our founder:

I founded Prevent 40% with the goal of raising awareness and educating the public about the fact that up to 40% of Alzheimer's diagnoses may be preventable. Having personally experienced the impact of this disease within my own family when my father was diagnosed in 2017, I embarked on a journey to understand Alzheimer's. Amidst the grim projections of increasing diagnoses without a cure, I discovered a ray of hope, and Prevent 40% was born.

Recognizing that symptoms can manifest in the brain decades before an official diagnosis, we aim to shift the conversation to younger demographics, often overlooked in discussions about Alzheimer's. Prevent 40% strives to empower and save lives with this information.

Witnessing my father, Philip, a multifaceted individual reduced to a diagnosis, inspired me to highlight the rich lives of those living with Alzheimer's. Prevent 40% leverages the visual arts as a means of self-expression, challenging the unfair reduction of individuals to their condition.

More than a cause, Prevent 40% is a call to action, an educational resource, and a commitment to dignify the lives of those living with Alzheimer's. Life is worth remembering.
